Mindfulness Part 2 | The Practice
13 October @ 10:00 am : 5:00 pm£65.00
opening the mind to the beauty around us
In Part One we did the preparation by stimulating the vagus nerve, awakening the senses and so healing trauma. Now we’re ready for the practice of Mindfulness.
This one day workshop in the events space of the Red Brick Building – to include use of the beautiful Peace Dome area – is a follow on from my Part One workshop and allows us to dip our toe into a Mindfulness practice and focus the mind, whilst using our awakened senses and opening the mind to the beauty around us.
In Part Two we use a combination of mindful activities:
- Chanting (with crystal bowls)
- Yoga Nidra
- Creating your own personalised incense
- Mindful movement
- The mindful art activity of Zentagles from which you will each be given a reading.
It is recommended that you do my Part One workshop before taking Part Two but it’s not essential.
The price of the workshop will include a vegetarian/vegan mezze lunch during which we will practice mindful eating.
The cost for the day, including lunch, is £65. A non-refundable deposit of £25 is asked to secure your place initially.
The final balance of £40 is due a month before the workshop (on or before 21 June 2018).
There are only 12 places available.
Those of you who attended Part One are asked to bring along the room spray you made (if you have any left!). If you don’t have one we will need your date, year and possibly time of birth to calculate your moon sign, unless you know it already.
I would also like you to bring along something from nature (e.g. a flower, a shell, a pine cone…). If this isn’t possible, something will be provided.
Blankets, mats and cushions for your head will be provided for the Yoga Nidra but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Plenty of water will be provided but, as lunch is included, I won’t provide hot drinks but a full range can be ordered at the bar. So, please bring some money for these.
Otherwise, all that is required is an open mind and a willingness to explore and experiment.
Please PM me (Julie Lovelock) if you are interested and respond to the event invitation. Thank you.
